Chaucer and the Influence of Geoffrey Chaucer on Modern Poets

Chaucer and the Influence of Geoffrey Chaucer on Modern PoetsGeoffrey Chaucer is an English poet and playwright who was the leader of the Canterbury Tales. In these tales, Chaucer was a fellow traveler of King Arthur. There are different versions of these stories and Chaucer's stories as recorded in the Canterbury Tales are among the most widely read works in the English language.Geoffrey Chaucer wrote at least six versions of the tales. Each version was related to a different court that the King of England ruled. Some of the Court Tales were written to entertain the nobles, some to amuse commoners, some to drive the peasants crazy, and some to scare the boys away from the door of their fathers' homes. All of these stories are well known and are used by all writers for creative purposes.Chaucer met a German nobleman named Johann Georg Gadamer in 1504. The two went on a vacation together and spent a few days at Sir Toby's castle. There they met Prince Henry, who was also there. Henry was a young prince who had been brought up by his widowed mother. He was known as the most cultured boy in Europe.Geoffrey Chaucer wrote the first version of the Canterbury Tales in the year 1565. This was a short story entitled The Knave of Prague. There are many interpretations for this story but one thing is certain, it is one of the most famous stories of all time. It is also probably the most censored piece of literature in history. At this time many people believed the Gospels to be divinely inspired. In fact, many people had not even seen the Gospels before they were called the Gospels. Many people did not believe that a man could write a work such as the Gospels because it was too long. However, this is precisely what Geoffrey Chaucer did.Geoffrey Chaucer may have written the Gospels over thirty years ago. In fact, he wrote three more stories based on the Gospels. However, it was not until 17th century England that the Gospels were considered authoritative literature. This bo ok was not readily available so all copies of the Gospels were burned.Geoffrey Chaucer continued to write about the Gospels and even included the story of the Last Supper in The Canterbury Tales. He was a devout Christian and liked to tell everyone he met about his faith. He never told anyone not to be a Christian but rather he encouraged everyone to read the Bible. One of the many people he encouraged to read the Bible was William Shakespeare. Many of the plays that were written about Geoffrey Chaucer include stories about Chaucer's Christian faith.Geoffrey Chaucer is considered the father of all modern poets and he has influenced the art of all of today's writers. Most people don't know he was a monk. It was not until quite recently that most people realized he was a monk. His influence is still being felt today.
